Royce graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in May 2003 and with a Master of Business Administration in December 2005, both from the University of Texas at Tyler. He became a Texas Certified Public Accountant in October 2004.

He is experienced in both tax and assurance services, with a combined fifteen years in two local public accounting firms. He is experienced in the preparation of individual, partnership, corporation, s-corporation, fiduciary, estate, state, and franchise tax returns for a variety of industries. He is also experienced in providing compilation, review, audit and agreed-upon procedures engagements for a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction, not-for-profit, oil and gas services, software, healthcare, employee benefit plans and other industries.

Royce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the East Texas Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on several not-for-profit boards and is currently serving as a board member for the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In that capacity, he is currently serving as a member of the ethics committee. He is also a graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 22. 

Royce enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He and his family are active members of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler. He also enjoys traveling, watching sports and participating in a variety of outdoor activities including running, fishing, camping, softball, and golf.
